Students 1st

A private service helping students who are having difficulty in the public school system and aiding students with specific disabilities, disorders or special needs.

Steven Steen established Students 1st to bridge the gap between public educators and parents of special needs children.

The goal of Students 1st is to intervene on the parents' behalf, to help them obtain the required accommodations and modifications for their students.

Steven Steen, MS-LPC, the founder and President of Students 1st, has over 12 years of experience in working with children, adolescents, and adults.  He has experience with disorders such as ADD/ADHD, Asperger's Syndrome, Emotional Disorders, and more.

He has attended ARD meetings for more than a decade and is familiar with the psychological aspect of special needs students, and what the public schools can and should do to help them.  At a young age, Steven himself struggled in school due to his own ADD. He understands what it is like to be a special needs student, and how stressful this can be for a child.
